A Twelve Step Plan for Restless Creatives #4

Orange umbrella

Are…you…as…tired…as…me?

Of course.  If you are working hard, playing hard, or, just breathing – you are.

Let’s face it, even Wonder Woman has those pillow clutching I-don’t-want-to-get-out-of-bed days.  If my role model can’t get herself going, imagine how difficult it is for the rest of us!  And that is why I have put together this Twelve Step Plan for Restless Creatives – thanks to all of you who have sent me suggestions.

In case you missed the first steps, here they are:

1 Get over yourself

2 Get off the grid

3 Get local

For my fellow executive directors, artspies, momspies and nonprofit knitters – and Amazons of all kinds, here is the next step:

4 Bring on color

Startle your senses by surrounding yourself with bright colors – a red coffee cup or a green apple.  Vibrant colors can give you a much needed energy boost.  Cool tones such as green, blue, indigo and violet are calming and warm colors such as red, orange and yellow are energizing.

Go ahead, treat yourself to some visual adrenaline and brighten your day.
