Why I Write This Stuff for You

One of my readers recently asked me why I write this blog.

Deafening silence followed.

Why

I write because I simply can’t stop.  I write because I want to be generous in sharing what I know to help you feel good, look good and do great things.

You may be a nonprofit professional who wants to lead your own organization, an artist, an entrepreneur, someone who loves to knit or make things by hand.  You are the one I write for.

What do you want to know

Do you want to know how to fundraise?

Do you have an elevator speech?

Do you know what the secret is in building strong boards?

Does your mission statement need to pop?

Are you ready to change the world? Avec style?

For you

There are no silver bullets to success, no magic pills or spells in this work we do.  It is work born of passion, yes, but the adolescence can be killer.  If I can press the evolve button for you and share a helpful insight or tip, we all win. Everything I write about comes from my experience leading Queens Council on the Arts, which supports artists and arts organizations in Queens, for ten years.

If you are doing good, why shouldn’t you feel good and look good?  This is why I write style notes, to help you get to Wow!

For you, for people who change the world.

And you?

This is a good time for me to ask you a question:  What else do you want to know?
